ARMY RECRUITMENT RALLY AT NAGAON FOR SOLDIER GENERAL
DUTY,SOLDIER TRADESMEN,SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER CLERK / STOREKEEPER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT CATEGORY AND DSC PERSONNEL FROM 19 TO 28 AUG 2011

The Army will be conducting a recruitment rally at Nagaon from 19 to 28 Aug 2011 for all districts of Meghalaya and Morigaon, Sonitpur and Nagaon three districts of Assam for enrolment of male candidates in Soldier General Duty , Soldier Tradesmen, Soldier Technical, Soldier Storekeeper Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant categories and DSC personnel only. The day wise schedule of rally would be as per the following :







































Venue of the Rally: Police Reserve Ground District Nagaon (Assam)



Pay and allowances:

Sepoy/Naik/Havildar - Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2000/2400/2800 + MSP 2000
Nb Sub/Sub/Sub Maj - Rs. 9300-34800 + GP 4200/4600/4800 + MSP 2000

Eligibility Conditions. These are as follows :-

(a) Soldier General Duty
(i) Age 17 Years 06 months to 21 Years. (As on screening date)
(ii) Educational Qualifications.
(aa) For Tribles - Class-8th.
(ab) For Non Tribles - Class- 10th simple pass
(ac) Out side settlers - Class-10th (with aggregate marks 45 % and above).
(b) Soldier Clerks/Storekeeper Technical.
(i) Age 17 Years 06 months to 23 Years. (As on screening date)
(ii) Educational Qualifications. 10+2/Intermidiate Exam pass from Technical any stream Arts, Commerce and Science ) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject. The candidate must have studied English and Maths/Accounts /Book keeping as compulsory Subject at 10th/12th Standards.
Note : - Candidates possessing Graduation and above Educational qualifications are exempted from percentage stipulation specified above.
(c) Soldier Tradesman.
(i) Age. 17 Years, 06 months to 23 years(As on date of screening)
(ii) Educational Qualification. For ST, Non ST and other Casts - 8th class.
(d) Soldier Technical
(i) Age. 17 Years, 06 months to 23 years(As on date of screening)
(ii) Education Qualification 10+2/Intermediate Exam Simple Pass in Science( with Physics, Chemistry, Math & English). No stipulation of percentage of marks.
(e) Soldier Nursing Assistant
(i) Age. 17 Years, 06 months to 23 years(As on date of screening)
(ii) Education Qualification 10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with minimum 50% aggregate marks and minimum 40% marks in each subject.
Documents Required : Candidates are required to produce the following documents in original and an attested photo copy of each document) at the rally site:-
(a) Educational Qualifications Certificate. Transfer Certificate and Pass certificate of Class 8th / 9th to be countersigned by District Education Officer/Inspector of Schools.
(b) Matric/10+2/Intermediate. Admit Card Marks sheet, and Certificate /Provisional Certificate issued by the Board of class 10th and 12th, both.
(c) Caste certificate. Caste Certificate (ST,SC,ST,OBC& OBC) should be affixed with the latest color photograph of the candidate. This should be issued and signed by the Deputy Commissioner/ Additional Deputy Commissioner as authorised with official seal.
(d) PRC/Domicile Certificate. Permanent Residential Certificate /Nativity certificate should be affixed with a latest photograph of the candidates duly stamped with District administration seal. This documents should be issued and signed by Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner as authorized by the Deputy Commissioner. (Note :- not applicable to state of Assam )
(e) Character certificate. Character Certificate duly signed by the Village Headman /Headmaster of the School/Police Station In charge (not more then six months old).
(f) Photographs. 15 (Fifteen) copies of latest passport size coloured photographs.
(g) Non Indigenous/outside settler Candidates. In addition to the documents mentioned in paragraphs 4 (a ) to (f)) above, non original inhabitants of the state will produce the following documents:-
(i) Extract of Electoral Roll Extract of electoral roll/Voter list of 1972 duly attested by the district election Officer with his stamp.
(ii) Affidavit. If the extract of electoral roll authenticates that the family of the candidates has been residing in the state for more then two years but less then two generations then the candidate will have to produce an affidavit signed by a magistrate( at the place of present residence) giving details of his previous residential address, in that state of which he is an indigenous/ original inhabitant.
(h) Gorkha (Indian Domicile Candidates). In addition to paragraph 4(a) to (g) Gorkha candidates will produce a gorkha Community certificate duly signed by the DC/ADC.
(j) Sons of War Widows/Widows/ Ex- Servicemen. In addition to the documents mentioned in paragraphs 4 (a ) to (h)) above, candidates should be in possession of original discharge book with his name and date of birth endorsed and Relationship Certificate indicating date of birth and name of dependent duly issued by Records Officer of the concerned records indicating the full details of the Officer`s Personal Number, Rank and Appointment.
(k) Sons of Serving Soldiers In addition to the documents mentioned in paragraphs 4 (a ) to (f)) above, candidates should be in possession of original relationship certificate indicating the date of birth and name of dependent issued by a Records Officer of the concerned records indicating the full details of the Officer`s Personal Number, Rank and Appointment. Sons/Brothers of serving soldier other than Meghalaya state should be in possession of a copy of outsider sanction issued by HQ Recruiting Zone, Shillong.

Documents to Fetch Bonus Marks. The following documents in original are required to produce to fetch bonus marks:-

(a) NCC `A`,`B` and `C` Certificate.
(b) Sports certificate of having represented the Nationl of or State issued by a recognized organization is only acceptable. Sports men who have represented their state, should have taken part in the sports event ( individual or team sports) within two years from date of screening and should have obtained 1st /2nd position.
(c) Sons of War Widows/Widows/Ex-Servicemen& ServingSoldiers. Documents as mentioned at paragraph 6 (j) and (k) above.
Note :- Tampering/Overwriting in documents is not acceptable and candidates are liable to be rejected.

Tests to be Conducted at the Rally Site.

(a) Pre Height and Pre Document Check
(b) Physical Fitness Test
(i) 1 Mile Run.
(ii) Pull Up.
(iii) 9’ Ditch.
(iv) Zig Zag Balance.
(c) Physical Measurement Test.
(i) Height - 160 Cms or more for Soldier General Duty,Clerks/Storekeeper Technical and Tradesmen. 157 Cms or more for Soldier Technical and Nursing Assistants
(ii) Weight - Minimum 48 Kgs or more subject to height and age.
(iii) Chest - Minimum 77 Cms or more with expansion of 05 cms or more.
Note : In case of personnel from outside Meghalaya, the height, weight and chest measurement will be as per their home state standards.
(d) Detailed Documents Check.
(e) Medical Examination. Medical examination will be conducted for the candidates who pass the physical fitness test and meet physical measurement standards. Candidates should be free from all communicable diseases and they should not have any medical or surgical deformities. They should have had no history of fits or psychiatric ailment. Candidates must be physically fit for duty anywhere in the country and abroad.
Common Entrance Examination (CEE). CEE will be conducted on 28 Aug 2011 at Rally Site(except Soldier Clk/SKT and NA) . The exact venue will be intimated during the conduct of the rally.

Miscellaneous. :-
(a) Candidates should come adequately prepared to stay under their own arrangements for the duration of the rally
(b) Enrolment is open for male candidates only.
